Circular economy
Project plays an important role in addressing the challenges posed by the lack of understanding of the possibility of circular resource use. For example, in deficient areas where discarded shipping containers or abandoned buildings are replaced only with «New» ones, existing legislation does not yet include a circular approach to use resources. The approach in our project offers a concrete implementation of the new circular economy action plan and proves that in everyday life, a close link between economic growth and resource use can be broken. This could be achieved through the re-use consumption or products that can be recycled-re-used-repaired. Project objective is to reduce the pressure on virgin material needs and GHG emissions by increasing re-use and implementation of waste/used materials in the new designs.

Empowering people with disabilities for entrepreneurship – DISENEX
Lead partner
Entrepreneurship
Fostering entrepreneurship and inclusive societies is one of the top EU policy priorities followed by the DISENEX project idea. With focus on self-empowerment, the concept pursues the goal of increasing autonomy and self-confidence of vulnerable / disabled groups towards implementation in working life through entrepreneurship.
Fønix are looking for social entrepreneurs with disabilities for our project DISENEX which is
co-financed by the EU Commission. We want to motivate people with disabilities to start their own business.
For this we will make short films and share the stories on social media.

Onboarding and student retention
Lead partner
Entrepreneurship
Early school leaving and student retention is a challenge amongst educational institutions across Europe. Students who have dropped out of school struggle with lower employment rates and lower participation in adult education for the rest of their lives. This means, that there is lasting and possible devastating effect on the individual pathways in life of early school leaving. By creating methods described in a Guidebook and developing the Onboarding & Student Retention-app (O&SR-app) this project will use data proactively to combat the considerable challenge of early school leaving.
